The International Accounting Standards Board’s (IASB) Global Preparers Forum (GPF) has appointed Emmanuelle Guyomard as a new member for an initial five-year term. Ms Guyomard brings her extensive expertise in financial reporting to the GPF.

Ms Guyomard has been the Head of Corporate Technical Accounting at Sanofi since 2017. Her responsibilities include providing IFRS technical accounting support to subsidiaries and definition of accounting treatments, guidance and policies across the pharmaceutical group. She also serves as Secretary of Sanofi’s Audit Committee and as a board member of the French accounting standard-setter Autorité des normes comptables.

Prior to joining Sanofi, Ms Guyomard was a partner at Grant Thornton and head of the technical accounting department, where she supported audit teams, advised on technical issues and delivered training about IFRS Accounting Standards and French generally accepted accounting principles.

Before her tenure at Grant Thornton, Ms Guyomard had a 13-year career at PwC, first in the audit practice and later as a Director in the technical department.

Ms Guyomard is a qualified chartered accountant and auditor. She holds an MBA and a post-graduate degree in corporate tax from the Université Paris-Dauphine. She also co-authored an accounting reference manual and was a member of the EFRAG Financial Reporting Technical Expert Group.

About the Global Preparers Forum

The GPF is a body independent from the IASB and the IFRS Foundation, with the specific aim to provide the IASB with regular input from the international community of preparers of financial statements.

GPF members have considerable practical experience of financial reporting. Members are established commentators on accounting matters either from their own experience or by working with representative bodies. Members are drawn from a variety of industry and geographical backgrounds and are selected by the GPF on the merits of their professional competence and practical preparer experience to contribute to the development of high-quality global accounting standards.
