IFRS Accounting Standards are developed by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). The IASB is an independent standard-setting body within the IFRS Foundation.
IFRS Accounting Standards are, in effect, a global accounting language—companies in more than 140 jurisdictions are required to use them when reporting on their financial health. The IASB is supported by technical staff and a range of advisory bodies.

The IASB is conducting a fieldwork exercise during the consultation period for the Proposed Taxonomy Update. Fieldwork is an important part of the IASB’s due process and supplements the information that the IASB receives through its comment letters.
The IASB is seeking participants who are involved in tagging and using digital financial statements.
The fieldwork exercise will run from June until early September 2024, with initial meetings starting in late June.
