Given the ongoing public health emergency related to coronavirus, the IFRS Foundation has decided to postpone its Annual IFRS Foundation Conference, which was due to take place in Madrid, June 2020.
However, we are pleased to announce that the IFRS Foundation will hold a joint conference with the World Standard-setters on Monday 28 September 2020 at the Hilton London Canary Wharf.
Delegates will hear directly from members and staff of the International Accounting Standards Board about our proposals to improve communication in financial reporting.
The conference will explore proposals for a new IFRS Standard on general presentation and disclosure—these proposed changes could transform the comparability and usefulness of financial statements. There is also the opportunity to discuss our consultation on accounting for goodwill and whether disclosures for acquisitions should be improved.
IASB presenters include Hans Hoogervorst (Chair), Sue Lloyd (Vice-Chair), Board members Nick Anderson, Tadeu Cendon, Ann Tarca and Mary Tokar, as well as a number of the Board’s senior technical staff.
28 September 2020
