FSB urges insurers to start implementation of IFRS 17 as soon as possible

The Financial Stability Board (FSB) has published a statement welcoming the new insurance contracts Standard, IFRS 17, stressing the importance of insurers starting the process to implement the Standard as soon as possible and highlighting the significance of proper application. IFRS Foundation appoints Nili Shah as Executive Technical Director

The IFRS Foundation has appointed Nili Shah as Executive Technical Director. She will lead the technical staff that support the Board and will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all technical activities in line with priorities set out by the Board. IFRS Foundation reappoints SME Implementation Group members

The IFRS Foundation announced the reappointment of 15 members of the SME Implementation Group (SMEIG), an advisory body to the Board, for a second three-year term ending 30 June 2020. Read the news summary here.
