Job Purpose

At the IFRS Foundation you will assist in the full cycle candidacy selection process. Your primary focus will be identifying and sourcing professionals from a myriad of industries that will join our growing organization and continue its work to further develop global accounting and sustainability standards.
Your passion and work experience have developed you into a champion of the daily functions of Talent Acquisition that include recruiting coordination, interviewing candidates and internal stakeholders, drafting, and coordinating job descriptions.

You are thoughtful and orderly, and do not neglect the smallest details of recruitment. You will analyse the recruitment process and make recommendations for improvements or changes. All stakeholders regard you as reliable and responsive.

The Talent Acquisition specialist will be uniquely placed to truly impact and grow the organization by advertising job vacancies, screening, shortlisting and interviewing candidates and developing job descriptions alongside the hiring manager to identify suitable applicants.

To ensure success as a recruiting specialist, you will keep track of the hiring process of candidates by utilising metrics and reporting. You alsohave in-depth knowledge of labor laws as well as current hiring trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition Specialist will provide support to the recruitment function, including various aspects of employment, coordination/scheduling all phases of interviews, job applications, and the job offer process.
  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting for part-time and regular full-time positions of all levels within professional services.
  • Full-cycle recruiting includes but is not limited to conducting initial strategy meetings, phone screening and interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks, and managing the offer process.
  • Proactively escalates issues and concerns to ensure timely resolution or redirection.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers and applicable senior management, acting as a recruiting business partner and subject matter expert.
  • Ensure a complete understanding of open positions' responsibilities and requirements and set recruiting service and hiring manager expectations.
  • Responsible for providing strategic recruiting recommendations to hiring manager and senior management, including but not limited sourcing strategies, internal talent identification, and researching/recommending partnerships with external organizations to identify top talent.
  • Guide hiring manager through the full cycle recruiting process including reviewing candidates, ensuring timely feedback on individual candidates, and recruiting process, preparing for interviews, managing the interview process, collecting, and compiling interview feedback, and reviewing candidate information and offer package information with the hiring manager.
  • Communicate with candidates on a regular basis, setting realistic expectations of the recruiting process and timeline and providing detailed information about job responsibilities and requirements, benefit programs, and PQGs culture and opportunities.
  • Actively support and promote IFRS diversity and inclusion hiring initiatives.
  • Perform data entry and maintenance while ensuring the integrity of the data.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the organization by providing high level customer service and quality results throughout the recruiting process, to both hiring managers and applicants.
  • Partner with external recruiting firms as needed.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Significant years of experience as a sourcer, recruitment agent, and/or proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist/Recruiting Specialist or similar role.
  • Significant years of experience supporting various programs and customers.
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to create recruitment strategies for a wide range of positions.
  • Ability to creatively and proactively source candidates in the areas of accounting, finance, consulting, administrative operations and IT.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with HR team and hiring managers.
  • Outstanding follow-up skills and ability to work independently while remaining accountable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures.
  • Proven ability to work well in a fast pace, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Outstanding PC skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicant tracking applications; must be a natural troubleshooter and demonstrate proactivity when issues arise.
  • Tech savvy, comfortable communicating virtually and learning new office tools, and keeping abreast of advances in technology and social media relating to HR tools.
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Consistently maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Able to function well autonomously and as a team member.
  • Effective interpersonal skill.
  • Problem-solving ability and proven accuracy with detailed information.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs).
